The owner gets their share and the affiliate gets some of the sale price. This system works well for the owner and founding members (who are usually joint-venture partners). This system just doesn't work well for you and I, if we aren't experienced marketers and on the ground floor. You don't need a master's degree in math to realize the longer the plan has been around and the more affiliates sign on; the harder it becomes to earn any real income.
